Korpisalo is a 1 year rental. McCann is a 25 year old that had .75 PPG last season. And 2 back to back 35 point seasons b4 that. That can move up and down the lineup as needed.

Take out McCann and the 2nd round pick is fair value for a 1 year rental goalie. Plus DeSmith had better #’s last season than Korpisalo. His value isn’t all that high after last season. DeSmith numbers were way better btw. And career averages are the better too.

We're not trading the 33rd overall selection in this year's draft for a backup goalie when we have an acceptable one on the roster and two good prospects in the pipeline.
