I think this year is the year that they’ll miss the playoffs after all these years

I doubt that, you know how PIT finished last year in the regular season with plenty of injuries. That would have to be a big drop.

5 Atlantic teams will make the playoffs… the 2 wildcards will be Montreal and Boston… Pittsburgh will be victims of the talent of the Atlantic division… I see the 3 metropolitan teams being in the playoffs, the islanders,Rangers and Flyers… so at least the Caps will be in the same situation

It' will be a tough battle for playoff spots, that's for sure. I think those metropolitan teams are going to finish neck and neck, but will see, the real off-season hasn't even start yet.

The Flyers are going backwards, the Rangers are still too soft on D. The pens will finish higher then those 2. The metro will be Carolina, NYI, and either Washington or Pitt finishing 3rd. The Atlantic will be Tampa, Toronto, Boston. Montreal and Florida will regress next year and one of them misses the playoffs.
