Why would the Panthers give up Marchment for a goalie they don’t need. Suban would be lucky to start on the Panthers AHL team. No chance he would make the NHL club. Why would they give up a forward that played significant minutes on the top line for just Suban?

It was pretty irrelevant to the bigger picture anyway so I just got rid of the trade but I do think you're overestimating Marchment's value to Florida. Regardless I think Subban gets traded somewhere but his contract is bury-able anyway.
