I was only basing it on the deal that almost happened, maybe a return to New Jersey for Parise? I still think both San Jose and Minnesota win the original trade.

Parise isn't waiving his NMC from Minnesota to San jose only to be dealt to the New York islanders. Minnesota can save on the middle man and trade Parise directly to the islanders themselves.

No Minnesota doesn't. Wild aren't going to take essentially cap dumps on longer contracts, and cap terms. Wild aren't going to take, or want contract of Brent burns,

Wild rather keep dumba. Wild are going to use their cap on Kaprizov, and Kevin fiala., and whatever little cap left try to round out team, and sign depth in AHL
