Additional Details:
I understand CBJ needs to do what's best for CBJ. If they can get COL or DAL to offer more...do it. I don't think COL's 28th OA pick is better than this offer, NOR do I think CBJ wants another 1st rounder in a weak draft.

If your COL or DAL...make sure you have an extension in place too. I'd be cautious about what Seth Jones is going to think when he's placed firmly behind Makar and Heskinen on your roster. He might not like being the clear 2nd fiddle and leave if you don't have an extension in place.
CBJ
  1. Kurashev, Philipp
  2. Regula, Alec
  3. Strome, Dylan
  4. Zadorov, Nikita [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
This is the ABSOLUTE MAX I'd be willing to give CBJ for Seth Jones...WITH an extension in place. I understand that CBJ needs to do what's best for them, but so does CHI. Giving away the store when you could just as easily wait until next year for one of...Lindholm, Jones, Rielly, Pullock, Nurse, Parayko, Ekholm, Klingberg, plus more...isn't smart at all.

Zadorov replaces CBJ on the NHL roster and CBJ gets a center in Dylan Strome. Kurashev is a much better prospect than his draft status. Don't over look him.

I understand your point on the size of package you're looking to give up to CBJ, however I think that Columbus will want draft picks as part of a package that automatically improve if Jones re-signs with that club. Maybe Strome, Zadorov (who I like, but lots hate), and 2nd & 3rd in 2022, which turn into a 1st in 2023 and 2nd in 2022 if Jones re-signs.

^this. CBJ doesn't want just bodies, they want one or two, and picks. If the personnel going to CBJ aren't as good as The Cat, etc. (which they won't be) then you have to give them solid picks. I actually like those pick valuations... Wait I can't say I like something Jim Benning did... But you get the idea.

I’ll bet jones doesn’t go anywhere this summer.
If it happens, it’s going to be mid season when a team is short a dman and will pay a higher price.
Right now several teams don’t “need” jones.
    Philly is probably the closest.
Vancouver, stl, Pittsburgh, all would like to have Jones, but they don’t need him.
I’d like to see a Mallkin-Jones trade honestly come around. It’s time for both teams to move on from each player.
Bottom line Chicago doesn’t “need” a jones right now.
Free agency this summer is going to be crazy along with trades and expansion draft.
    Chicago is getting close.
I think if they do trade for Jones, then they need to make sure they get some depth wingers and another center.
I’m still fine with the goaltending situation. Lankinen did great with a poor defense strategy in front of him.
Imagine if he had Jones? Who knows….
