Zadorov isn't going to sign for that amount and I'm not sure Chicago does that trade.

What you think he’s valuing himself at? Saw Carlo’s price so based it off that one.

Schmidty too spendy. Greenway could be moved but we can’t take on that cap hit with the buyout penalties ratcheting up soon.

Didn’t realize they were that extreme in years 2,3,4 of buyout.
What about salary retention? Or possibly swapping him for a cheaper piece and a pick?

Schmidt isn’t a fit for MIN, even without considering the contract. If you’re after Greenway, he’s available for likely the same return Kunin got. That’s a couple mil in salary on a serviceable bottom 6 player and a 2nd and 3rd/4th.

Addendum: Holtby could be considered as the player if Kaapo gets taken.

I’ll adjust accordingly. And see how it works out.

Yeah I don’t see anyway Schmidt works in MIN. Agree on the Greenway valuation. IMO, if someone offered a 1st + decent prospect, MIN would instant accept. But I don’t think anyone pays that for Greener, so it’s settles on 2nd + good prospect or 2nd + cheap depth player. And then it’s kind of a yes/no depending on the prospect/player.

Yeah, I don’t think we’re in a rush to move him but I don’t see him on the roster year after next. He’s a good complimentary piece but he’s big and GMs value that.

I personally think a 1st is too much, but yes, they take that instantly if it’s on the table. He’s essentially worth a 2nd plus and salary to equalize.

1st is definitely too much. I don’t think there’s anyway he’d return that.

Juggled some pieces around. Basically what I get from this is Pearson (similar price point) and Gadjovic (former recent 2nd rounder).

I think he fits the MTL play style and Bergevin seems like he would value that. If you did MTL 1st and 2nd and included the MIN 2nd you might have something. Don’t forget the NSH 2nd we got last year was #37 and the VAN 2nd this year is #40. Those picks aren’t very far removed from each other.

I think they’d want the actual 2nd. And as for Pearson, that’s a 3 year commitment. And one Benning likely doesn’t want to move.

The salary equalization thing is to make the cap fit. I would look at Roussel or Holtby in this scenario. Both have 1 year left and the cap difference is no more than 2 mil.
