What are Montreals RD targets

Description

With Weber likely done I think Montreal probably needs to add 2 quality defensemen this offseason, probably both right handed, but a left handed puck mover is an option as well. Listed in the scratches, I've added some guys that could be possible realistic options for Montreal via free agency or trade (can't see them getting Hamilton or Jones.) Let me know if there is anyone you think should be added to this list.

RD is preferable, but harder to acquire, I think Montreal should consider adding a duo of Risto and Savard, that being said I wouldn't be upset if MB added a leftie, and moved Romanov back to the right side.

MTL coaching staff really want Romanov at LD. Find him a good partner. Maybe Savard, he played with Sergachev : more accomplished and more offensive minded but still a young russian. He'd be the PK specialist at RD.

The other D would have to play at RD cause I doubt they move Chiarot or Edmundson at RD. That D would have to quaterback a 2nd PP. The dream would be Dougie

I think Montreal would just take on the whole contract for a 3rd.

Only way I could see Romanov already in the top 4 is if he's on the leftside.

I never said having Romanov in the top 4, I mean if MB added a leftie (Say Dunn) and righty, say Savard, then have the pairings look like this.

Eddy - Petry
Dunn - Savard
Chiarot - Romanov.

But my honest preference is to add 2 righties, perhaps Savard and Risto, or Barrie.

Therefore, x2 RD (right handed or not) unless they move Chiarot or Edmundson RD (I also doubt because they had the occasion to do it but they didnt do it)
