Isles cannot afford that. They need to trade Leddy or Eberle without any salary coming back then maybe they can target Tarasenko.

That’s exactly what he did… leddy for tank with 1.5m retained is a wash.

Islanders decline though because Tank is not worth a first let alone Leddy + a 3rd added on.

They need to trade Leddy or eberle before the trade, then they need to trade one of them in the trade. Basically both players would need to be moved, and Palmeri would be a better target to be resigned.
