Not a COL fan/follower but 1) Has Grubauer truly earned that AAV? and 2) If he has, it can't be possible that his AAV is higher than Landy's can it?

I mean, maybe he hasn't earned that. I don't know, and goalies are weird. He was a Vezina finalist, so I bet his ask will be somewhere around there. The thing with the Landy contract is that I think the overall number matters more than the AAV. At 6.25x8, it comes in at 50 million total. I imagine Grubi will come in between 5 and 6.5 million, and I went with the high number here as a worst-case scenario.
