Your free agent signings can get more term and money from other teams. Also, Kassian is going to be protected for the expansion draft.

The lack of respect Tatar gets is fascinating.

He's no stud but he's 63rd in league scoring the last two years. He's got 1 more point than Reinhart. He's tied with Marchessault. He's one behind Horvat and Oshie and three behind buchnevich, Boeser, Schenn, and Fiala

And they all played between 113-125 games with him in the middle at 118

I'm not saying he's done stud, but he's getting signed for depth third line money

A 4yr deal for Yamamoto won't be too cheap

I doubt Hall will fetch more than 6 million at this point. It's either Boston or Edmonton, Hall and McDavid are super close and I bet coming home to play beside the best player in the world is worth it if you lose half a mill.

Tatar might slip thru the cracks, struggled and was scratched this year obviously, Holland has history there and can see him, signing that if other teams don't offer what he wants.

I saw people having him at 1,750,000 for 2 so I said I would do 2M for 4 lmao, make that 3 years then and I see it happening.

He has been linked to Edmonton for awhile, I can see him slipping thru the cracks, I know he is a better player than money given, I can give him 4M x 3 years and it will work, I just banked in my mind him not having much leverage after the LW market is so saturated right now.

I think 2+ on a 2yr deal isn;t out of the question, but on a 4yr deal he probably wants to double he money.

If this was last year I would say 4x4 is very good, after this year where he really struggled in the second half (granted he wasn't deployed properly) I see him not fetching more than 3 over 4 years, maybe 2.5.

That's the issue. With RFA's you are generally paying a little more because you're paying for what a player can be.

I think Yamamoto would want a quite a bit on a 4yr deal. I don't see the Oilers doing that at the moment, which is why I think he ends up round 2.5x2. At that point if he keeps playing great then the Oilers can give him his raise.

I can see the best position for both sides is to do around 2x2, I'm not going to complain over 500k to 2.5, just don't think he will get 4M, maybe if its longer like 5 years but 3x3 might be happy middle ground!
