The barbashev point is to stop these major overpayments for tarasenko. According to reports they left VT unprotected and used that slot for barbashev. Meaning it wont take more for tarasenko than barbashev. Rn i personally think VT has negative value at full price but thats just my opinion. I completely agree i dont want anything to do with barbashev.

Gotcha - yeah I would pay like a 3rd rd pick for Tarasenko (50% retained). Wahlstrom > Tarasenko next season anyways. Speaking of wahlstrom , one of the isles podcasts suggested that the isles should let bellows and wahlstrom spend the year in BPT so they can change the culture lol
