It's actually an incredible idea. But 5 years is a ling time to retain $4M. Add the 2021 1st to start (it's super late anyway so still worth it). Awesome creativity though. Call GMMB lol

You do understand that taking 5 years of $4M in dead cap will cost more than Suzuki...right?

Why didn't they just NOT expose him? It's ok to lose Jake Allen.

Nah it cost more but you could get away with Seattle paying 50% of Price contract

Not really at 2.875 millions Allen is a bargain… as one of the best backup in the league

We'll have to agree to disagree. You have a choice between the "ride or die...whatever it costs" with Price as you suggested and a backup goalie that quite frankly is replaceable.

Seattle should 100% extort MB for playing a very cavalier game with Carey Price's career.

Yeah I’d be really sad to see Price go but it might be the thing to do
