Description
With NSH protection list Jarnkrok seems like an easy choice. 1 yr remaining at 2mil, would still have value as a rental if things dont pan out in Seattle. Don't believe SEA would have picked Jeannot or even Carrier, interesting decision by Poile.

Rumored interest in resigning Haula, before all signs led to Granlund. Poile could be switching focus to Haula knowing Granlund is no longer interested. Kept both for argument sake. Both played well second half of season and fit the Hynes identity (for good or for bad)

I would hope to see Duchene playing with either Forsberg/RyJo or Tolvanen on his RW

With history on my side, Tomasino will probably get his first look on the third line, similar to Tolvanen last season. Its going to be frustrating especially if hes with Haula/Cousins. For this GM i'll let Pitlick/Glass battle for the 3C spot, Glass hasn't lived up to his potential, could arguably need more seasoning in AHL, but given the trade I think NSH tries to keep him in lineup opening night

I would rather have Cousins on 4th line then Trenin/Olivier. I dont get excited seeing Cousins in top9 wouldn't be surprised if he gets traded.

I'd imagine Poile wants to see his new 6'5 defensemen play alongside Josi. He does not have the hockey sense/IQ for this role. I dont want him with Ekholm, Ekholm strives with an offensive defensemen.

Boro/Benning can be the 7/8th D. Farrance/Davies/Allard battle for spot on third pair

Preds need a goalie who can play 25+ games. Ingram is not ready for this role, especially with last season in the player assistance program. Is bernier the right goalie for preds? probably not, cheap vet a bunch of average options available

I wonder if something complicated ends up happening with Duchene or Johansen going to Seattle, likely with some retention.

They're both coming off ****ty seasons but if Nashville retains 2-3 mil they become a lot more appealing.

They are already eating 2mil from Turris buyout and losing Johansen or Duchene doesnt make the preds any better. So including picks to get rid of them (that could end up being high picks with a poor season) would be awful for building their slim prospect pool

NSH also has cap space and is not a contender, I dont believe they have to move a contract right now

They could take sissons if they believe that more ice time could get him back to 30 points or better.

I think the 5 year term will scare them away, especially if they are taking some big contracts. I would have more faith in Jarnkrok scoring 30+ than Sissons, and a 1 year deal they can easily move on from if it doesnt work out

I think they are both options. I don’t see them taking any big contracts from Nashville like others have been posting.

RyJo could be a really good bounce back candidate
