Don't know if I like it. But I'll give you creativity points as compared to the usual Kerfoot to Seattle and Mikheyev and Engvall "Anywhere for picks"

What would you change? The lineup? Players signed?

Honestly, I don't know enough about Bunting to comment. He keeps surfacing in ACGM's and I literally know nothing about him. But really other than Derek Ryan I don't mind it. I like the splitting of Matthews and Marner. Maybe some more edge with someone like Foligno? Also like that if you're putting Sandin and Lilejeren in the lineup they are sheltered to third pairing minutes. As well as not rushing Robertson into the lineup.

The Leafs need to find some cheap players can can provide 30-40 points that cost around 1-2mil. The reason IMO you see him coming is his ties to Dubas/Keefe when he played for the Soo. He actually played Junior with McCann. Very small sample size but played well last year in the final few games for ARI

Ryan is someone they have looked at before, the year they signed JT. Biggest factor is he is a right shooting C that is excellent on the draws and very good at the PK.

McGinn played the most PK min of any CAR fwd last year, Leafs now have CAR’s PK coach as there’s assistant, Dean Chynoweth. I would actually be shocked if they don’t sign him.

Agreed, Robertson is not ready. I want to see him dominate to start the AHL season, then call him up after the all star break.

And I just really want Saad on this team.

    Kudos for some imaginative thinking!

Unfortunately, I think that Ron Francis may view Kahkonen as one of the jewels in this draft; if they trade him at all, it will be for a higher price than another guy off the unprotected list.

Hometown boy Michael Bunting would be a good addition to the Maple Leafs. He impressed me with his games against my two crummy local teams -- hit everything in sight and showed some scoring talent, too. And made no friends on the Ducks or Kings.

Completely agree. Kakkonen and Bean, possibly Clague, as really good building blocks to start your franchise off.

Leafs would most likely have to change that offer up to entice SEA but with Chris Driedger rumour to be signed, and you’ve got Holtby, Vanecek, Mrazek, Bishop, DeSmith, as possible options. Maybe he could be available. But probably just a pipe dream.

I think it’s pretty fair that people are speculating that. Kakkonen had a stellar rookie season, 16 wins this season, finished with a 2.88 goals against average and .902 saves percentage.

I think it’s more than reasonable that Seattle selects him over Carson. Especially with the quality of D that are available.

I mean it's also it's been reported that Seattle wants Carson soucy very much,,and that soucy would very likely be the pick as a way to prepare wild fans by beat writer Michael Russo, than wild gm who on his podcast said I am going to need A D

As a TOR fan who wants them to select Kerfoot and not McCann, I hope we both get what we want
