They need a proven D-man. They don’t just make those every day.

Tho it is a large ask.

They are in desperate need for a Top Centre if they’re ever gonna get over the hump of a 3rd round series.

They’re tight on cap space.

-Whitecloud is a throw in, same for Hague.
-They can’t be paying 12M on goaltenders when you can only play 1 a night. So it sorts out that issue.
-Krebs is a good prospect.
-Tuch and Smith are great, they will both want a raise or the same on their next contract. But they’re not a CENTER.
- this years draft is a bit of a write off and it’s late in round 1, with little to zero scouting done this year due to COVID-19. It’s likely close to a 2nd round pick.
- next years pick, they’ll win the cup or get close too- so it’s a safe bet there 1st and 2nd pick is at the bottom of each round.

This trade gives them a dynamite 1st line of PAC Eichel Stone, and also clears up their cap to sign free agents to replace Tuch and Smith.

Reinhart for a qualifying would be 5.2 million. At that price be would go to arbitration and leave the Sabers in June. He valued at 6-7 so to stay he would at least need 7+

I Understand the point of view for this but no way Vegas gonna accept that, this is too much.

Whitecloud ok i understand
I don't see them trading away lehner, if a goaltender mooves it will be Fleury and even that I think they both stay
Krebs is their best prospects, personally if i moove him i'm not mooving that first and second except if you remoove all the rest (and it wouldn't work due to cap space)
They will keep tuch
Smith would be propably trade to annother team for draft picks
I could see them acquiring Eichel but not at that price and not before they makes cap space, which I doubted they can do without broking their current roster, which they shounldn't

I mean with that Chicago deal wtf was that, ristolainen worth at best a 4th and a small prospect or a 3rd, not Dach + 3rd xD
