1. Probably not enough still. Maybe if it really came to a head due to the injury, but then would you waste those resources?
2. I'm not sure DET would do it in any situation.
3. A few teams would offer more (LAK might be the leader).

I don't think we have the best offer out there, but I think it's relatively competitive. And Yzerman can be a damn good negotiator. And I think we have a deep enough pool & high picks for this to work out for us. Berggren will theoretically be a 2nd liner, and we'll have 6oa this year + top 10 pick next year.
