Trades
1.
SEA
  1. Fleury, Haydn
Additional Details:
I can't pass on a guy Francis drafted 7OA. Underlying numbers aren't great but he's at the right age with development. The Bean-Fleury pairing is too alluring. Henrique is tempting, as you can broker a deal to a team like Ottawa, if you retain half the salary but term is too long. You cant eat 3M for 3 years
ANA
2.
SEA
  1. Lyubushkin, Ilya
Additional Details:
RD will be scarce. Pitlick was tempting as a 4th liner. Fischer is also a decent pick but has regressed quite a bit in his development. Nothing really exciting here so I'll grab a cheap option at a position in demand.
ARI
3.
SEA
  1. Lauzon, Jérémy
Additional Details:
Decision between Zboril and him isnt an easy one but I'm going for the bigger potential. Zboril has a relationship with Kraken asst. coach, Jay Leach, with Providence, so this could be the wrong way they go but I really like Lauzon, and Bruins fans seem quite distressed over losing him! Though, then again, ppl were distressed over losing meagre prospects in 2017 which caused all the side deals to go in Vegas favour.
BOS
4.
SEA
  1. Borgen, William [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Meh
BUF
5.
SEA
  1. Giordano, Mark
Additional Details:
This seems like a foregone conclusion unless the Flames reach a side deal. Giordano is still only 2 years removed from a Norris Trophy, and had a great finish to the season. He returned to the top unit PP and was putting pucks on net like it was going out of style. Can be flipped at the deadline for assets
CGY
6.
SEA
  1. Bean, Jake [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
See Hayden Fleury. Could be the next Shea Theodore. Best offensive instincts available with room to grow in expansion
CAR
7.
SEA
  1. Carpenter, Ryan
Additional Details:
Not falling for the expensive qualifying offer with Zadorov @3.2M. There are better, younger defenseman available here as we've seen with me going 6 for 6 on D so far. Carpenter was also an effective 4th liner with the Golden Knights in their inaugural season. Not a bad guy to have on your squad as it will need to be filled out with cheap bottom 6rs
CHI
8.
SEA
  1. Kukan, Dean
Additional Details:
See Lyubushkin. RD 1 year term. cheap.
CBJ
9.
SEA
  1. Mascherin, Adam [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Depth 4th liner. Had a productive season with Texas Stars with 34 pts in 37 games. Fast and hard working, another up tempo player that could be in the vein of Nosek and Carrier from Vegas. Little to choose from besides an injury riddled Bishop that hasn't played in a year. There are cheaper goalies available without the injury concerns or age.
DAL
10.
SEA
  1. Stecher, Troy
Additional Details:
RD. That showed flashes of top 4 in this years World Championships. Can be flipped at the TDL or before the season.
DET
11.
SEA
  1. Benson, Tyler [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Long shot but you have to take him and make Holland pay for his mistake of protecting Kassian. No risk, all reward. Kid has dominated the AHL!
EDM
12.
SEA
  1. Clague, Kale [RFA Rights]
LAK
13.
SEA
  1. Kähkönen, Kaapo
Additional Details:
Waivers exempt is massive here when we are collecting assets. Showed flashes of an elite goalie with Calder Trophy talk through the first half of the season. Soucy was tempting but they are many available LD with his skill set and cheaper. We are building a foundation here.
MIN
14.
SEA
  1. Kulak, Brett
Additional Details:
Kulak is a good moving dman that can be moved for assets at the TDL. Same recipe as Vegas with the surplus at D. Weber was tempting with Nashville recapture possibility blackmail but this wont be a cap team so his salary wont be useful as LTIR.
Price would be so much fun but it's not within Francis conservative philosophy unless ownership gets involved. Will be interesting as Price would be the perfect headliner and give the team immediate credibility which isn't nothing when your team is called the Kraken. The crackhouse memes will be plentiful.

SEA
  1. Daccord, Joey
Additional Details:
Waivers exempt with promise. Kraken need these types of prospects in the minors
OTT
20.
21.
SEA
  1. Aston-Reese, Zach [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
ZAR is a nice cheap piece to play bottom 6. Tanev is far too expensive for what is he and why is was exposed same as Zucker. DeSmith was tempting but we have better options.
PIT
22.
23.
SEA
  1. Tarasenko, Vladimir
Additional Details:
I'd rather go with Vince Dunn but it seems Seattle is dead set on taking Tarasenko as a broker team and flipping him with retention
STL
24.
SEA
  1. Frost, Morgan
  2. 2021 1st round pick (PHI)
  3. 2021 2nd round pick (PHI)
PHI
  1. Tarasenko, Vladimir ($3,000,000 retained)
25.
26.
SEA
  1. Kerfoot, Alexander
Additional Details:
Yeah I heard about the leak, 5 takes or not. I like Kerfoot over McCann. More versatile tho McCann's great shot is hard to dismiss.
TOR
27.
SEA
  1. Lind, Kole [RFA Rights]
VAN
28.
SEA
  1. Sheary, Conor
Additional Details:
Focusing on speed much like Vegas. Vanecek is tempting as a trade chip, of course. But we're building in another direction
WSH
29.
SEA
  1. DeMelo, Dylan
Additional Details:
Cant ignore a RD that can play top pair with cost certainty at a reasonable 3 million per season over 3 years
WPG
30.
SEA
  1. 2022 4th round pick (VAN)
31.
SEA
  1. Foote, Cal [RFA Rights]
  2. Johnson, Tyler ($1,000,000 retained)
  3. 2023 2nd round pick (TBL)
  4. 2023 3rd round pick (TBL)
Additional Details:
Andrew Ladd's 2 years went for 2 2nds and a 3rd. This is the least TB can give up as Tb's picks will be very late. I figure Johnson wasnt traded last year cause the Bolts absolutely want to keep their 1st rounders for TDL deals
