Im out on Eichel, we can piece it together other ways than blowing up our farm. Next offseason, we would trade Zuc for whatever we can get, then we would most likely trade Dumba as well and have addison/Menell fill his role. That would give us 12 more million in cap space, while needing to re-sign greenway, Menell, Bjugstad and Kahk. Id guess those 4 would take up about 8 out of that 12 million, Greenway (3.5) Menell (1.5), Bjugstad (Under 1) and Kahk (a little above 2 call it 2.25). would leave about 3.5 to 4 million to sign 2 more veteran roster players, and hopefully Beckman/Kohv is ready to make the jump.
Full disclosure I have no idea if Van would match this offer sheet. At the moment they have 15 roster players with 15 million in cap. They also have 2 guys on LTIR and im not sure if they will be there next year or not. If so thats 6.5M of their cap space gone so they would have to unload multiple guys in order to match this offer sheet. Even if the LTIR guys stay there and they matched the offer sheet, then they would have 16 guys with 5 million in cap space. Pretty tight there.
