          Dennis Widemans days are over, he is getting highly over paid and has played awful this year. He will definatly not be on the flames next year, I feel both Wideman and engeland will be gone at the deadline

          Its a PTO, and its more to do with the expansion draft. They dont have anyone signed next season to expose. They probably dont want to resign Jokipakka prior to the draft and risk losing him to expansion so they need to add at least 1 NHL contract prior so they have the minimum requirements of players to expose.

          And they aren't going to extend Engelland or Wideman to meet the requirements.

          They said on 960 today that it looks like he will sign a 2 way deal. Also that they want to bring Engelland back for cheaper but only after expansion draft.
