The genius Dubas would find pure gold in the 2nd Rd like future HOF'ers in Robertson, Hirvonen, Abruzzese, Niemela, Kokkonen and Rindell.

Oh, I guess the recent 11th Overall pick ( Soderstrom) and a 5th Overall pick ( Hayton) players don't count as 1st Rd'ers.

Eichel is different since he's coming off a bad year, and he wants unprecedented neck surgery. Matthews just won the Art Ross....

Yes, he's leaving Hogtown when his deal expires. That's a fact.

I say Vegas, it's almost close to his home city and they are Cup contenders.

Or.

New York Rangers....big bucks and fame.

Or.

LA Kings...same as above but the Kings will have more money under the salary cap to offer.

In four years, Vegas's window will be almost, the Rangers will be flush with big contracts and won't be able to take on his free agency, and the Kings are starting to move to the Cap limit this year. Who knows how much their prospects will pan out, but if they do, they'll be paying them big money. He would be great for the Latino community marketingwise. With that being said, I think the Leafs get a Cup (yes, I know there's no evidence to support it) in the next three years.
Arizona should be coming out of the rebuild and be a up and coming team. Plus, it's home for him. That's a big, big draw.
