Description

Holtby will probably get better offers but still an interesting idea if he wants to come back as a 1B-type goalie with Samsonov, splitting games 60-40.

Also unless we're trading away another d-man the only possibility beyond a backup goalie in free agency is a 13th forward / 7th d-man on a league minimum contract.

There's a few lot better goalies in free agency this year. I don't think Holtby will get much more than that. Maybe 1.5x2. Rather have Raanta or Halak for more.
