I think a team is going to have to overpay by a lot to get Dunn. Like a first and more, because Seattle has all the leverage. Worst case scenario is they sign him

If the Ducks retain on Rico they arent taking cap dumps back

Figured they would retain nearly 50% for one year so they don't have to worry about paying him for the remaining few years on his deal. Same for the expiring contracts of Leo and Panik. After this season which the Ducks will not be competing for a cup in, they will have a lot more cap to work with after doing this deal.

You cant retain on only one year, If they retain close to 50% it would be to get an actual return, not just to take more cap back with 2 worse players that equals out to a higher cap hit for ANA

No reason for ANA to do that
