He’d play 3rd line and be a powerplay specialist for you. You’re adding less than $1.5 mil to your cap space. Coyotes certainly have enough cap space to take on a worse contract/more bad contracts if need be. Don’t know much about Korczak but he’s a long ways away at 20 years old

You think you guys move Dvorak? Also great trade with the Avs that’s a win for the Yotes

Maybe. Coyotes writer said that Dvorak chatter quieted down today. I like the Rangers deal you posted the other day for Chytl and Georgiev. But I think the Eichel deal has to happen first, whoever Dvorak gets traded to.

If I had a nickel for every time someone on this website said there’s no way a goalie would return a first round pick…. Armstrong has balls of steel watching the market unfold and getting maximum return back. Hopefully Timmins can realize his potential with more NHL playing time.

I agree Eichel first. But Chytil or Kravtsov as the main piece back is good. And hopefully Timmins pans out and fills a top 4 spot right below Soderstrom.

Now that Buch is gone I can’t see NYR moving Krav. Would love Chytl in return, assuming that he can play center long-term

Would LOVE this deal. Proposed about the same a while back.

On Dvorak, I agree with what've read, but at the same time I see it being difficult to move him now. Looking at our roster it is already bad and we got or second 1st I think we were looking for. The reason to move Dvorak now isn't as big as before. We want to be bad, but I think the tank should be somewhat respectable. Also need some good (young) players left to guide (even) younger players. Of course, if an overpayment is offered I'd do it, but it would have to be a quality piece coming back and an easy yes. However, this is just my opinion/guess and I might be completely wrong, haha.

I think Dvorak could be a deadline piece if he’s not moved now

Yeah, seems more likely. We get to keep him so we don't stink too much and someone desperate for a center come playoff times might give us what we want.

You can’t be saying “sink too much” when the goaltending and bottom 9 forwards look like that. I think this team will be guaranteed to finish last in the league a bit worse than Buffalo too.

Haha you're probably right. We have some okay pieces left, but all in all, this is a terrible roster designed to give us Wright. Can't complain, though. Either you're last or in the playoffs. No need to be stuck in between.

Pretty good future team tho. Should be a quick 2-3 years of bottoming then they’ll be amazing

Yeah I really hope so too. Fingers crossed we finally have some lottery luck. Have never picked top 2 (as the Coyotes). It's time to change that. We really need it to happen. Then, as you said, we'll look fantastic.

They could’ve drafted Raty in the 2nd round this year. Would’ve been a good fit

Man, I was sitting there and knew they probably were going Doan at #37, but when he was left at #43 I was ecstatic. Then I heard the Russian name. Disappointing, especially seeing his Summer Showcase performance. I really hope I'm proven wrong by our scouts in the end, but I'm not holding my breathe.

Doesnt fit the roster timeline. Even with AM34 this team would still be bottom 5 in the league. Coyotes aren’t going to trade for him they’re going to wait it out and try to sign him when his contract is up, which as it so happens is when they’re trying to be good.

They just want a big star that is a home town kid to sell tickets, they lose either they go for it or they tear it down, but if the get Matthews at least people will pay to see him lose

Making the trade above mortgages their entire future though. It’s just not realistic given how they’ve already stripped the team down to the bare minimum. They’re giving up their best player, 2 best prospects, best overall center and arguably best LW for one guy, who is very much worth all of those players, but not for Arizona right now. Again, if they want Matthews they’ll wait until he’s a free agent and try to get him without giving up assets

They don’t have a future with all these horrible contracts they took on anyways whether they had the players they would trade to the Leafs for Matthews or not, at least with Matthews people will come to watch him score goals
Arizona is really not doing well financially and Matthews would bring attendance up while they are going to be bad, because the moves they have made is dooming Arizona to shame for Shane next year and Connor Bedard the year after.

“Dooming” them to picking 2 guys considered to be top of the lineup guys? That’s exactly their plan. Suck now to go get those guys and hopefully be a playoff team/contender with one or both of those guys in 3-4 years. What you are saying makes no sense
