Trades
MTL
  1. Eichel, Jack
Additional Details:
I think Sabres fans will soon realize that no team is giving you QB, LAF, KK, Suzuki, Caufield, Addison, Boldy, Rossi. The next best is what you'll get. Sabres aren't in a favorable position, yet they can still get an insane haul in return.
BUF
  1. Brook, Josh
  2. Byron, Paul
  3. Guhle, Kaiden
  4. Kotkaniemi, Jesperi [RFA Rights]
  5. Kulak, Brett

  7. 2022 1st round pick (MTL)
  8. 2022 2nd round pick (MTL)
  9. 2023 1st round pick (MTL)
  10. 2023 2nd round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
2 first rd picks, 2 top prospects/players with top 6 and top 4 potential, a RHD (apparently sabres need RHD) and a local kid in Tuch.

generational talent whose team does not have a lot of leverage in a trade. you go for it. the current habs roster will not make the playoffs in the atlantic. but an eichel - suzuki punch gives them a top 5 center punch in the league who has an age advantage over other teams too like the leafs, bolts, canes, panthers, etc.

I don't know about that statement bud... yes they lost danault... but their depth is insane. We have six 20+ goal scorer on the team, our rookies are a year older and they are getting better. We have our OT specialist wink in Caufield (we lost 11 in OT last year). We used to depend on Gally and Tatar's production... then it would fall down a cliff.

we lost Weber... but apart from the playoffs, his regular season performance can easily be matched by Savard.

We now have a PP specialist in Hoffman. A big problem for us in the last few years where it was totally impotent.

Teams like Boston have regressed... I think have a definite chance to make the playoffs over OTT, BOS, DET, BUF and a good chance to challenge TOR, FLA and even TBL (who lost there entire third line)...

KK is gonna be an elite top 2 center, but they aren't getting the next teir in suzuki and caufield. you still have to give something to get something.

i don't disagree, but this d-core is not built for an 82 game regular season. its built for playoffs. they desperatly need an elite top 4 defenseman. i mean they're compensating for that by adding the defensive acumen in savard and the puck movement of vatanen and norlinder. boston is a good regular season and playoff team. leafs are a great regular season team but trash playoff team. florida is in the same boat. tampa is good in both regular and playoff seasons. it'll be tough landing a wild card spot.

I guess we will see... the team has changed too much for us to make comparison.

I don't want eichel, 10.5 is too much when we have a solid 1-2 punch in Suzuki and KK even if it takes 2 years to get there. itll be cheaper by a long shot.

kk and suzuki will never ever be as good as eichel and suzuki. you're skipping over a generational talent because of cap hit????

OKAY? Never said they would be, But KK can easily be a good 2nd center and suzuki will be a top line center so why go after 2 top line guys when you already have the perfect pairing for 2 years down the road. plus takes the headache away of trying to sign KK, Suzuki, Romanov and Caufield within 2 years

i get your pov, but this is a chance to acquire a player that this team hasn't had in over 30 years. its a generational talent and a center. you don't skip over a player like that because of cap hit. you move heaven and earth to acquire him.

Sexual assault allegations now they may or may not be true but after drafting a kid who admitted what he did would look like the organization doesn't give a s*** about women

i dont see a single thing about these allegations against vatanen on google. please show those to me. either way its allegations. if it goes to court, its up to the plnatiff to prove it bud. we live in a world with laws and rules. not emotions and fake hypocritical sjws.
