That's a pretty reasonable Eichel trade from a NSH perspective, though I'd hate to lose Tomasino. Would try to negotiate Tolvanen over Tomasino -- but this is a pretty solid deal for NSH.

Dahlin isn't a proven high-quality defenseman like Zach Werenski or Cale Makar or Miro Heiskanen, all of whom have had All-Star-quality years before. Dahlin is 100% future.

Wrong. Dahlin is great but you can’t compare him to those other defenceman. Werenski is also overplayed. I understand the Sabres are a dumpster fire and Dahlin hasn’t really helped with that either…Give him a show me deal for cheaper

I'm not comparing him to those other defensemen -- the OP was, as his justification for giving Dahlin similar money.
