If we’re signing Dunn to 4mil per year, the term needs to be longer. I’d say 5+. He’s not worth that right now, but he will be in a couple of years.

Forbort isn't getting traded, and that's probably not enough for Hertl. If Krejci really isn't back, the Bs could try at the deadline for a package or go after him in free agency next summer

i don’t see forbort realistically getting traded but had to make room for dunn in this scenario, who i’d much rather have. i’m open to waiting on hertl too but figured the trade might be enough since he’ll be a ufa
