Two why would we retain anything for him they take him at full cap or we get more then a third as hes too important to the blues to trade for anything less
TLDR he is not worth a third but because we need a replacement and have no backup there and his importance to the blues and retention we need more than a third

Both Perunovich and Walman can play the right side along with Santini. Plenty of options for the 3rd pair. Bortuzzo only has one year left on his contract and I highly doubt the Blues extend him. To get a third rounder for hi is a huge win imo. I have Botrz scratched in all my lineup predictions

Well you are wrong, Walman looked really good last year when he played. Perunovich would have played last year but needed surgery, and Santini can easily fill in for a 3rd pair guy, looked good in the playoffs when he had to play. Bortuzzo takes too many dumb penalties imo he is easily replaceable with they skaters the Blues have

yeah he did, when Bortuzzo had a broken orbital bone and Dunn was concussed. He played. Bortuzzo is worth a 6th rounder at most. If someone gives you a 3rd for him you take it and run. Even if you have to retain a little bit. Once Tarasenko is moved they have the cap to do it

Tarasenko may not get moved at this point tho but i understand you its just right now we cant replace him
Tho let me do a ACGM for it and we will see how the team looks
