You would lose one Raanta or Hellebuyck in the expansion draft, so how are you better off trading for him, and now you lost Comrie too. 100% sure Girardi's NMC/NTC includes not locating to Winnipeg.

2017-18, ie all of these moves are post expansion. I simply indicated that Perrault would be the one lost to expansion in the summer preceding these moves. Probably accurate on Girardi's NMC, who knows though, Winnipeg looks promising in the remaining time on his contract, if they've got a shot he'd be crazy not to. The guy is from Niagra, he's probably used to the shitty weather

Girardi is one of the worst Dmen in the NHL. Why would any team want him and Trouba is Winnipegs best dmen why trade your best dmen?

What? Comparing Niagara weather to Winnipeg's? Is that your premise. You should get out morehappy The other factor that a Girardi has just the travel schedule in the Western Conference. The Metro Division has the easiest travel of any clubs. Gotta believe he is too old to give all that up. But on your Ranger theme. Does Marc Staal a Thunder Bay native, consider Winnipeg. Well he would be use to Winnipeg type weather.

I'm just not sure... I wonder if anyone else has ever considered it. I would say Girardi is one of the most overpaid defensemen in the NHL but far from the worst.
