I thought it was a fair offer... then I saw the retention on Eichel.

Buffalo isn't gonna retain 4M on Eichel for 6 years.

You're not even using the cap space.

No chance NYR does this. Eichel doesnt make sense for NYR unless he has 2.5-3m Retained even then his price is way to high for his injuries and his cap hit. NYR wont be moving kakko or laf. Both have way too much potential. NYR should be looking at dvorak atm or monahan.

NYR is saving cap for next year with ziba and fox needing bigger contracts this is known as their last year is this year.
