Description
In reality, I do not want Eichel on the Rangers, He has 5 more years left on his deal for $10mil especially with young guys coming up through the system and eventually going to need new deals (depending upon whether they excel or not through the minors). BUT, there is an overwhelming community that wants him and they pull out Zscore charts and show his contributions vs Mika's. I am tired of seeing them and I am tired of hearing about this process/other Ranger fans about trades. I am just going to put one together this point and agree that Drury is most likely going to wait until Buffalo is out of options and make them sell for less.

Here is what I see a trade looking like with Buffalo UNLESS the Rangers can pull some type of miracle and force the Sabres to sell for less. But I doubt this will happen and Drury will cave once Buffalo lowers their asking price and then a bidding war starts between 2-3 other teams.

I think Buffalo needs GEO just because their goalies are on their last leg, a bit older and have one year on their contract. Adding GEO to the trade may help their goalie issue and give GEO the time he wants between the pipes (which would be every game).
I also think Buffalo would like Kakko and Kravtsov, yet Drury I believe is hesitant because he wants to see what Krav can do. Kakko has not been named but tbh I think the big apple is too much for him and he may do better in a smaller market area.
I also think Buffalo is in need of a right-handed defenseman, so Robertson is probably the answer to this question for them. Schneider is a good defenseman, he has the potential to be top 2 pairings, but he needs to develop. Buffalo sucks with developing so at this point his career will probably be over.
Lastly, the dreaded 1st round draft pick. Rangers need to be smart with this and protect the pick if it is in the top 10, Next year is going to be a deeper draft so losing out on a 1st rounder next year could suck.

The next trade is a simple Seattle trade. Strome is 100% going to be on his way out and Seattle is knocking on the door. Mason Appleton is basically going to take over for Kakko with his 20-30 pts that he has averaged over the last few seasons, he will get a lot more playing time and probably sit in a 2nd line RW.

The only thing that I hate about this trade is that the Rangers will lose basically all of their RW depth for this upcoming season which they may have to go out and get someone for cheap which is why I ended up signing James Neal in this. James Neal is/can be a great player, it can be a low-cost type of deal and have him play with Eichel and Panarin on the 1st line. SEE WHAT HE CAN DO FOR $1.5mil for 2 years.

Finally, the Rangers would need a 4C and that could either be Kevin Rooney or Morgan Barron which is may be Rooney, but I put Barron there as I would like to see what this kid can do in the NHL.

Leave some comments, see what you think.

2022 1st Round Pick = TOP 10 PROTECTED (I think this has to be protected as a deeper draft is coming) meaning it will roll over to following year if the Rangers get top 10 pick.

Hard to think the Sabres would pass. Sabres probably would want Chytil instead of Kravtsov but I doubt it's a dealbreaker if Kaako is in the deal. Might even be able to get away with one less piece (without Kravtsov) depending on other offers. Overall, pieces make sense and value is there for Buffalo to make the deal.

That said, agreed that I'm not sure I want Eichel if I'm Drury. Only consider this if Zib is asking for insane money and the plan is to trade him/his rights.

I agree, but I think what is going to happen is Buffalo will get forced to lower the price point for Eichel, and then it will start a bidding war between 2-3 teams with several different offers.

I don't think they will keep Mika. I'm pretty sure he is going to ask for 9.5+ and he won't get that from the Rangers, they would rather have a young Eichel instead for that amount. We will see what happens tbh, but I kind of don't mind this roster, the 4th line is atrocious in the new one I made (as I dug deeper and found out Goodrow is a Center basically and took most of the draws in Tampa. IDK if that was a personel thing or something he/they wanted)

Yeah, this seems like a return the sabres can live with.

Buffalo can pound sand. Keep an unhappy, broken neck Eichel and the Rangers will be just fine without him.
