The Isles would save $2.25m in your trade, or $1.25m by just burying him. Not paying a 2nd round pick just to save $1m.

I think Arizona does that trade but no way the Islanders do that trade.

I remember you were trying to trade Byron for a 3rd round pick without retention. How does he get dumped for a 3rd but Komarov (with retention) costs a 2nd to move?

Komarov for Byron 1 for 1 seems pretty fair. Get some grit for some offensive production.

Still not interested in this. We move 1 year of Leo who wont cost that much to move for an extra year of a more expensive Byron who doesnt really help us. We are in no need of 3rd line forwards, and we're not gonna take Byron off your hands.

I missed that Komarov only has 1 year left while Byron has 2. I thought it would be fair if they both had 2 years left on their contract.

Montreal probably has to retain a million on Byron to make this a fair trade.

Nope still not interested. We dont want a cap flip we would rather just move komarov ourselves.
It would make things a bit fairer, but not enough.
