i dont hate the Eakin Kerfoot trade. But im also unconvinced that that actually helps my team. Is Eakin particularly good at defense? or fill a special role? He has produced worse than Kerfoot over the last 2 years by quite a bit, and even his best season was not better than Kerfoot's best season. So if hes not particularly good ad defense i wouldn't do that trade personally.

Eakin gives Toronto a solidified 3rd Line C N more flexibility on Wing.

Keefe can make him Good...

Besides it's 1 year at 2 N a bit.

Even if he isn't great... Leafs can just flip him for a pic N try SDA in the middle or even Engvall...

Besides they've got a 3rd out if it and the Leafs NEED draft picks! It's basically a low 2nd.

I don’t even wanna give up a high 3rd for Kerfoot
Just trade him somewhere else…. maybe ARZ?
He just doesn’t fit the Sabres timeline,
and neither do some of the other moves u made

The Kings trade is odd
And i don’t think we are ready to give up on Mitts,
as he actually looked good after the coaching change last year

I dont disagree totally, but i cant really see why the leafs wouldnt just keep kerfoot, they know he can produce, they know he can play with JT and WIlly well,

The leafs are gonna put Kampf at 3rd c as a defensive centerman, Soup is gonna play 1 of his wings, which is mostly why i asked if this guy is particularly good at defense because if hes not, its not alot for a player strictly worse than kerfoot.

a 3rd is really really nice bonus, but the leafs are already gonna need to do some reclaimation projects with the bottom 6, Keefe is gonna be busy as is, i dont think he would want to try and work in another player into his current .

I just dont think the leafs go for it sorry. It doesnt make a ton of sense for them at that return.

Leafs easily say no. You overpay to get him, especially if you plan on playing him on the second line. Leafs will demand a first

The Kings are overloaded with bottom 6 players, why should they add more and trade away Walker to do so?

Those are some horrific contracts. Gudbranson doesn’t deserve a dollar over 1 million and Neal doesn’t deserve that contract either. Just really poor choices for UFA signings
