Lines are a little all over the place in my opinion but this team can win a cup in my opinion without have a “Cinderella” type season. But, their contender status rests on a bounce back from a few players, namely dubios and Schmidt. Otherwise, they will just be a high end playoff team

the top 6 can be made up of whoever but imo I think the bottom 6 stays intact, I think if perfetti is gonna be a starter next year he should play with Lowry and Copp which imo are the best players to play with him they can do it all, score, shutdown, got the toughness it’s perfect for him. The 4th line is gonna be a solid shutdown line, Riley Nash is one of the best defensive forwards in the league and Gustafsson will likely start and he’s a power forward type of player so he can play on those gritty lines, and I think Vesalainen is gonna start this season, he’s ready and he’s waited so I think this is the time. The defence pairings that I think are best are Morrissey- Demelo, Dillion-Pionk, and Schmidt-Stanley/Heinola. Morrissey played his best with demelo and I think demelo has proved he’s a top 4 defensemen, Dillion and pionk should just be clear really solid pairing, and stanley I think is gonna split games with Heinola so probably 40 40 and whoever plays the best out of the both of them will start in the playoffs. I think we got a really good team this season and I truly think we can go far.

I doubt it’s gonna be a wildcard we’re prob gonna be 3rd seed behind the avs and wild, and if wild don’t bring kaprizov back we’re prob gonna be second

My worry is if they can score enough, basically how much of an age regression will there be for Wheeler and Stastny and will Copp and Lowry return to their means, if that happens I question where the goals will come from. A breakout season from Vesalainen could makeup for Wheels/Stastny declines Lowry/Copp regressing to their averages and big bounce back season from Dubois would obviously help too, honestly so much will come down to Dubois having a big season. I don't think Perfetti is going to be a Jet this season and no matter how good of a 4th line the Jets have they'll always be mostly a non factor with Maurice as coach for a few different reasons.

So having said that could they win the cup, anything is possible and the Western Conference looks wide open to me, so many Western teams have big question marks surrounding them, this could be the Jets year to make some noise if some things go right.
