More of a 3c line to shelter KK.

That doesn't make sense. Who's playing 2nd line minutes, Cizikas or kk. Because if it's Casey you're not going anywhere. Speaking of which, Cizikas at 3C is less than ideal.

Evans or Poehling can alternate in as 3C too.

Speaking of, Evans should be playing 100%. Have Suzuki KK Evans and Cizikas in that order.

Your line makeup doesn't jive with your description, you say line 2 is a defensive line but you have 2 of our worst defensive wingers together on that line in Drouin and Hoffman. I would rather split those 2 up and run.

Toffoli/Drouin-Suzuki-Caufield
Hoffman-Kotkaniemi-Gallagher
Drouin-Paquette/Poehling/New Center-Anderson
Lehkonen-Evans-Armia

Toffoli with Zuke and Caufield worked well in the playoffs, so they stay together but an alternate version would be to put Dru there as a playmaker for a speedier line with loads of offensive talent when we need a goal. KK gets a shooter for the first time to bury his many many many missed setups over the past 3 seasons. How many times did we see KK set up Armia, Lehkonen or Byron ect. Just to have them miss the net or shoot right at the goalie?! Drouin and Anderson worked well to start last season before Drouin got hurt so let's reunite them and either give Poehling a shot at running a speedy crash and bang scoring line or bring in another more offensive center or allow Paquette to run this line. Evans with Lehkonen and Armia would give the opposing teams fits trying to get the puck away from them. Plus they all have decent scoring ability and excellent shutdown ability. This is our shutdown line. Line 1 would likely chip in 85ish goals (maybe a bit high but not unrealistic IMO) a season, Line 2 80ish goals, Line 3 maybe 60ish goals and Line 4 maybe 40 goals in the season. This gives the Habs approximately 265 goals in the season or 3.25 goals per game average (I am trying to be conservative). That would put us in the Toronto, Edmonton, Tampa scoring range from this past season. We might not have the top end talent of those teams but our scoring is spread out acrossed all 4 lines compared to the others who rely heavily on their top 2 lines to do the scoring.
