There no reason for Winnipeg to do this as Gawanke has looked pretty good for his level. The Jets pass.

Do you think a deadline move like a Nyqvist for Gawanke makes more sense?

I don't think Nyquist would work because he's not a rental and has another year that the Jets can't fit under the cap.
