Description

here's an alternative to add more scoring on the right wing. trading for tarasenko is risky, but if he's healthy he could boost the offense while taking a lot of pressure of the younger guys like lafreniere and kravtsov. might just boost the rangers into playoff contention, and if so he could flourish in the playoffs as a leader alongside zibanejad and panarin.

also make kreider or zibanejad the captain for the love of god.

Well, that's highly debatable, but Robertson fits the Blues mold and current needs far better.

true.
either way this trade would probably benefit both teams. i bet the rangers would be willing to give up robertson, gauthier, a 1st and maybe a conditional 4th. if tarasenko plays in a certain amount of games, or the rangers make the playoffs it turns into a 2022 2nd or something

its 100% worth it if tarasenko even gets close to the offence he had back in the day. and even if he doesnt its not an extremely long contract. its just a temporary boost until the young guys develop.

Zero cap room next year for Tarashoulder, we'd lose Zib & Strome and not much cap or assets to replace. We need all of our good young Ds, not trading Schneider, Nils, Robertson, maybe Jones.

I mean we might lose strome, but strome is expendable. We have Barron and Chytil to fill that void. Another option would be to just trade him after next year. If he does bounce back, we get a year or two of an elite top 6 scorer, before the young kids can take over, and if he doesn't we get a year or two of a 7.5 mil cap hit, or someone we can trade to arizona. It's a risk worth taking imo.

lol dont listen to him we want Robertson more keep him rangers he is a great player and his size of being 6'3 is a great fit as shown in past cup wins with big d-man that are skillful
