Tkachuk's gonna need a seriously good 2021-22 to earn 72mil. He was pretty mediocre until the last 10 games this year. Obviously I think he's worth that at his peak, but he was supposed to continue to develop into a defensively responsible pest/power forward capable of putting up like 35-50-85, not regress. I think the pandemic really screwed with our team this year because they all seemed to have a down year, but he'll need to bounce back before getting that much term/money. I also don't think Gaudreau would be too happy about signing for less than Tkachuk when he's outproducing him lol

Neither of those guys sign 8 years and Giordano doesn’t come back. If Tkachuk is the captain going forward they should do what they did with Gio and set an internal cap. Tkachuk can sign 8.5 x 6 Gaudreau can be either at that number or below depending on term. Mangiapane could be the 7-8 year deal you want at 4.5-5
