You’d have to throw a first in just for the retention. Not sure how blues would value the actual trade outside of retention but I’d imagine they’re content waiting until TDL at this point to showcase Tara and if that happens and he proves he’s healthy that offer will be beat by multiple teams.

As a blues fan i love the trade but no way in hell does Army retain that much as well as it would cost probably a first to do so in his eyes
Personally i think that with no retainion the value is good but i think the blues are gonna wait and see what happens with VT and either he changes his mind or we trade him for his value at the deadline

He’s not worth $7.5 mil unless he scores 35 goals and pots 60-70 points. I get your desire to see how he plays, but he’s not worth his contract currently. Depends on if he can get back to form, which is anyone’s best guess. If he can great, he’s worth more, but if not I see no reason why a team would pay big assets for a guy who can’t score anymore, that makes $7.5 mil.

Love how everyone on here wants to give a small return and have us retain a lot because he isn’t worth anything else, then immediately throw him on the top line. I’d rather keep him now that he is healthy and let him score 30 here in STL if those are the returns.
