Penguins have $121,000 in available cap space, so this trade isn't going to fly. That said, at his age missing a whole season due to shoulder surgery, I wouldn't be fast to give up anything significant.

Also, Hextall has publicly stated many times that the Pens are no longer moving their 1st or 2nd rounders.

Vegas and Calgary decline easily, nothing there helps them very much.

Also Kuemper and Hertl will sign else where, just bring back Merzlinkins as he said he would resign with Columbus.

This is next season, where Pittsburgh will have the most cap space in the league

This is purely hypothetical signings, and Calgary was really just a placeholder team to trade too. I sorta agree with the Vegas trades, they were a bit far fetched, although it would improve the team.

They were just a placeholder team, I could’ve used anyone.

Ah, I didn't realize it was next season. That said, we really won't have THAT much more free space. It will depend on what Malkin, Letang and Rust re-sign for, if Rust stays that is. I would definitely revisit this idea depending on how Nyquist looks coming back from injury.

Regardless, Hextall has said the 1st and 2nd rounders are off limits.

Vegas is easily declining. We got wingers for days. No need to add a 32 year old one with only 21 goals combined the last two seasons
