Ehlers’ contract is great but Hellebuyck’s is better

I went with Ehlers because of the extra year of term

Wanted to avoid 1 year deals. He is the best player on that team imo tho

If he wasn't already 33 he'd be there cause it was really close

Even still, Marchand has been Top 5 in Hart voting in 2 of the last 3 years, while also being Top 10 in Selke voting for 3 of the last 4 years. Marchand also signed his deal as a UFA where he had all the leverage. Past's deal was his first after his ELC and he didn't have hardly any leverage.

I didn't look at context when signed, I just looked at the deal as of today. I think I'd take Pasta's deal because there's absolutely no possibility of him falling where as I don't think you can say the same about Mrachand. He's entering his mid 30's, he's not gonna get much better if at all unlike Pasta. Marchy is the better player on the cheaper AAV but I went with Pasta who's arguably a top 5 winger & top 3 goalscorer in the league even if he only has 2 years left in his deal because of the age difference
