I did look at the roster already they only have 22 players on the roster and they have only 320K left, who else to waive?

I've seen conflicting reports, some say he has been skating at full strength all summer, others that he will be out till middle of the season. Until camp starts, don't think we will know for sure. But IMO this is the easiest way to keep their depth by not subtracting anyone from the roster.

If Kase is ready to go what does the Leafs do, try to trade Kampf and go with one extra forward and Dman

Kampf is going nowhere, they just signed him and from what I have read are very high on him. I think the hope is to have a strong 3rd line of ?/Kampf/Kase
Honestly if Kase is healthy, I have no idea how they can make a more than a 21 roster. There is no real depth behind Dermott should he be moved. They still think highly of Kerfoot (hopefully only as a LW tho) Moving Mikheyev makes no sense at this moment, they just signed Semyonov who both played together in the KHL, gotta think they want to see if there is any chemistry there. Plus he plays tough mins and on the PK, Same think with Engvall, plays hard mins and a lot of PK mins. Who's replacing that? But Engvall does make the most sense to be moved to create cap space. It's the Simmonds signing I HATE. That 900K would be very useful. Plus he is probably going to cost them losing Joey Anderson or Brooks if both get sent on waivers.

You do see why Isles Fans are exploiting your cap for Dermott. It a risk putting your faith into LTIR. Maybe they can trade Engvall or Kampf before Dermott but it is will be extremely difficult the closer you get to opening day. I still think Liljegren can take Dermott's spot

It doesn't change anything you still over the cap by 500K. LTIR is only option without trading players
