They are playing Jonny Brodzinski at 3C, who is he? This allows them to slot Pageau at 3C who can play on the PK. Move Cytle next year to 3rd line wing. This also make Goodrow more expendable.

ANd chadwick and ytimmins is your 2nd pair? Jarnkrot and Kampf are your 3rd line? (My point being, how do you build a team/improve when you have so little cap space)</div></div>
They need to trade Marner they can not win without that, they don't have the prospect pool to support these high contracts. Toronto is just trying to maintain the ticket sales..

The approach GMs should take now

For goalies that are at top bracket which are only a hand few I would and I do include Demko. I think you have to judge a goalie consistently at every league and level he has been in to warrant a long term contract.

You actually think toronto issues will be solved when the cap rises , I have something to tell you buddy, the excess cap is going to go to Mathews, Nylander and Marner how are you going to improve the rest of your team because a 2 round gentlemens sweep is not going to cut it in Toronto

Why do you have Connor and JÄRNKROK on LTIR, also Lingerin is not going to sign a 8 year deal at that AAV.
