No. Because the WHL did not play last season and Sillinger played in the USHL, he is allowed to play in the AHL as the rule barring 19u players is only applicable to players coming from the CHL. This was reported by Portzline, has been confirmed and re reported so I think it’s safe to say it’s legit.

Great lineup. I could totally see this being the lines/pairs that start the season. I could also see them hanging on to Korpi the entire season because they don’t really have a 3rd goalie ready to step up into that role.Tarasov is close but I don’t think he’s quite there yet.

Correction, the WHL did play last season, the OHL was the only major jr league not to play. Sillinger just didn’t play in the WHL as he couldn’t get across the border quick enough to make it worth going to Canada to play.
