I wouldn’t do that. Wideman and Niku are still unknowns as to how they’ll fit in the organization, and neither of them can provide the solid 5-on-5 play Kulak does. Plus Engvall isn’t better than Perreault, and the habs have a tonne of depth at forward at the NHL & AHL level.

Also, Toronto can’t afford the extra $500K in cap hit.

The inspiration behind the Engvall trades that show up on here are to free up his cap hit. Leafs dont have much of a reason to do this while taking cap back.

this is very good trade ,however the point of where the habs are as far as defense is true
