Description

Projecting Eichel not being ready for the Olympics post surgery - a very big loss for the Americans

Wanted a solid combination of older and younger talent to have veteran experience paired with the speed and skilled younger players.

D pairings I like while F lines + extras can be moved. Did not have trouble excluding Q Hughes as his liability in the D zone can prove costly.

Would love to see the Tkachuk brothers play together and see the grit they can bring with either Miller or Nelson centering them. Only F I wanted to include was Debrincat as he is a proven goal scorer but figured the firepower is strong enough and veteran experience is key to success on the international stage.

Guadreau and Guentzel will get tossed around by Canada. They will get you through the preliminaries but won’t get you anywhere in the medal round.

I think every team will get tossed by Canada, seems improbable they don't sweep all the way through to the gold

You can certainly build a team that will outwork Canada. That’s the only way the US has a chance. Why on earth should the US play a skill game vs other teams. It won’t get them a medal.
They’d be lucky to get a bronze playing with “skill players”
