Buffalo waited to long to trade Eichel... If he was traded at the draft prior to free agency, a team could have put him on long term IR and signed a player or players up to Eichel’s cap hit. Like what Tampa did when Kuckerov got injured last season.

Now all the UFA’s are already signed. Besides the Rangers are looking like they will extend Zibanejad rather than try to make a deal with the absolutely delusional Buffalo GM.

In my opinion I think Eichel will go to Minnesota.

i thought so at the beginning, but i don’t anymore. with the suter/parise buyouts they’re better off sticking with rossi and boldy.
