Don't get too caught up in your favourite player not being included. If you want him included, make an ACGM up including him, this is just one possibility of a team two years down the road, and with unknown roster changes between now and then.

$4MM in cap space, plus any increase to the cap in 23/24, so don't get too caught up in the actual amounts of the contracts either as there is plenty to adjust with.

This is current assets only, so any player not listed, such as Brannstrom, may have been traded and the return isn't included, the same as Zaitsev's return, who I included because he was still under contract for 23/24. There's no need to sign, then trade Brannstrom, if I'm not including his return.

Contract years changed to reflect 23/24, for example Tkachuk signs for 8 years in 21/22 becomes 6 years in 23/24, so the long term tab is more accurate. I really don't care what today's speculation is, I signed him for 8 years.

Chabot, Sanderson, and Zub should all be top4 caliber defenders, so only one of JBD or Thomson needs to reach that level for this to be a decent defence.

The healthy scratches were just three current contracts in the minors.

FYI, Ostapchuk's contract has $1.65MM stipulated as performance bonuses, split in the first two seasons, so the cap hit shows as $870K but the AAV is $925K. It looks weird to me, but that's what it is.
