The camp injuries to Suess, Nogier and Samberg are really messing with our cap.

Based on the initial diagnosis that Suess will miss 2 weeks, he should be medically cleared by the start of the season.

Samberg is going to miss 6-8 weeks so he will be able to go to LTIR.

Nogier missing 3 weeks is tough because he won't be able to go to LTIR unless there is some sort of relapse and likely won't be medically cleared for opening day either. We probably need him to take a short trip to Robidas Island to make things work. If he a) doesn't heal faster than anticipated, b) doesn't heal slower than anticipated or c) won't work with the Jets here we are in some trouble.

Since we are an LTIR team we also will want both Perfetti and Heinola on the opening roster if we plan to call them up and use them at any point this year due to their bonus pool.

PoMo has talked about icing 7 Dmen at points this year because we play the 4th line so few minutes and I think opening night will have to be one of those times. We need to waive Beaulieu and Toninato for game 1 to be able to keep up Heinola and Perfetti and account for their bonus money in our LTIR cushion. Scheif is suspended for game 1 so we need to account for his entire cap hit but he won't be available to play.

For game 2, Heinola is sent down and Beaulieu is recalled. At some point Perfetti will be sent down and Svech will be signed to an NHL deal. Once Nogier is healty he will be waived and Toninato will be called back up.

If anyone else gets hurt for a short period of time, we are totally screwed and this all hinges on Suess being medically cleared by the start of the season.
