A rental, a 4th liner, a LHD the Sabres don't need, a mid first round pick and a Eichel seems horrible for the Sabres

I think they've already hit a new rock bottom, and the only way for them to get out from under it is to move Eichel as soon as possible

Not getting a decent return would hurt them more at this point. It's not like trading him will help anything, but getting high end prospect in return will.

I don't believe they will get their asking price, however they are too far in it now to settle for well below your asking.

I think just getting whatever return it takes for them to get out from under this PR nightmare would be good enough at this point

Completely disagree. The franchise looked like a joke after the O'Reilly trade. Season ticket sales are near an all time low because of Eichel leaving. Would probably be worse next year if they have nothing to show for the trade.

At this point if you can't get close to value, then let him get his surgery and reevaluate at the trade deadline.
