Stephens isn't going to stay on the 4th line in Detroit if he starts there. Big difference in being on TB's depth chart and Detroit's

I could see a TBL third line - Erne - Stephens - Barre-Boulet. Only problem is that there'd be no room for Veleno to go, not to mention when Rasmussen and Vrana come back. Although, Bertuzzi could be on his way out sooner rather than later.

I really think Stephens is going to force himself into the top 9 if not the top 6

I thought he played well in the preseason. Maybe there'll be room to move up after the deadline. I'd be OK with trading Fabnri, Bertuzzi or Suter if there are firsts coming back

Or he could end up getting vaccinated.

    Making Rasmussen expendable.

I mean yea, there is that. But I mostly meant the fact that his last 2 contract negotiations sound like they have been contentious, and he will be on the wrong side of 30 by the time we are contending.

Yeah if the player is already on your team I don't think its a big deal. Yzerman was over 30 when he won his first cup. But Bertuzzi could be traded.

More than likely Detroit won't get ABB because they are 5th on the priority list. Maybe 6th depending on where Seattle fits.

I don't think Tyler's game is going to age well. But we'll see. Yzerman knows what's he's doing

Before Nov. 1st its last seasons final standings in reverse. The covid realignment did hurt a lot of teams including Detroit but Buffalo got the worst of it.
